Erotica for Women
11/13/2024

This was an interesting study, which explored female responses to visual pornography.

Specifically, the study looked at, "Whether erotic films made by women are more arousing for women than erotic films made by men was studied. Forty-seven subjects were exposed to both a woman-made, female-initiated, and female-centered, erotic film excerpt and a man-made, male-initiated, and male-centered erotic film excerpt."

Let's take a look at the results!

While both types of films led to physical arousal, as measured by vaginal pulse, women reported feeling more sexually aroused while watching the woman-made film. They also felt less shame, guilt, and disgust after watching the woman-made film.

Interestingly, the physical arousal measured didn't always match how aroused women felt. This suggests that how women think about the film and its content might be more important for arousal than the physical changes in their bodies.
