Research from the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) found that many women are incorporating cannabis into their menopause wellness routines, particularly to support restful sleep and a more balanced mood. Researchers surveyed 258 women — 131 perimenopausal and 127 postmenopausal — to better understand their patterns of use. Among those surveyed, women who reported lower overall mood or heightened stress appeared to respond more favorably to cannabis use. Researchers noted that further study is needed to understand how these patterns might look in a formal clinical setting.
