I am a STEM girl, so I consulted my good friend PubMed, and my research told me that lower estrogen levels in menopausal women result in altered vaginal flora and increased susceptibility to UTIs. My own estrogen levels are virtually undetectable. I went to my doctor, who prescribed an estradiol cream that had a long list of potential side effects, as well as excipients I have had adverse reactions to in the past. Desperate, I started to look for OTC options online and found Silky Peach Cream. My research had revealed that estriol was a gentler option and is the dominant form of estrogen in our bodies after menopause, so that appealed to me.
